High pressure high temperature sealing
As pressure and temperatures have increased over the years FTL has kept abreast of developments in sealing technology to the benefit of our clients.
New materials initially failed to live up to the hype and a shift from polymer sealing to metal/metal sealing took place in the 80s.
Polymers have to a large extent caught up but still require high levels of application knowledge and an understanding of the limits. Metal to metal sealing offers substantial benefits but has drawbacks.
The selection of the appropriate sealing systems is a core FTL strength.
